Sponsor Spotlight: Dreamhost

DreamHost is proud to sponsor WordCamp LA! We’ve been based in the
LA and Orange County areas since getting started in 1997, and love to
support the local tech community and events. We’re involved in
sponsoring MuckerLab, and regularly host meetups at our offices,
including WordPress SoCal and OpenStack LA.

WordPress is a BIG deal at DreamHost. We host over 600,000 WordPress
domains, and offer a cool One-Click Installer, along with Automatic
Upgrades, if you want them.

DreamHost is also a big contributor to open source, and the WordPress
community in general. We’ve recently hired Mika Epstein (@ipstenu) to
further our quest in WordPress Support Awesomeness (pending ^tm), and
continue to contribute to the WordPress core and other projects, like
wp-cli and OpenStack. You can see our contributions to WordPress core
in trac (http://core.trac.wordpress.org/search?q=DH-Shredder), and to
other projects on GitHub (https://github.com/dreamhost).

Come by and see us at WordCamp LA! We’d love to answer any questions
you have. Just look for the classy folks in DreamHost t-shirts.

200 tickets in 24 hours

Yesterday I opened tickets sales at noon. If you were on the email list you got word of it first. The early bird tickets sold out in less than an hour and as of noon today the last ticket was snagged.

We’ve still got space for more attendee’s but if you we’re not able to get one of the first 200 tickets I can’t guarantee a WordCamp shirt.

Keep your eyes peeled for more tickets to be released next week.

Ticket Sales Open

In case you live under a rock, or you didn’t take my advise and sign up for the newsletter. Ticket sales opened Tuesday the 7th at noon. It took a little less than 20 minutes to sell out of the early Wordbird tickets, and of the general admission tickets that guarantee a t-shirt, there are only 100 57 (at the time of writing this post).

Be sure to register ASAP for a guaranteed WordCamp t-shirt. When and if we sell out I will open a few more tickets the week before. Stay tuned for more info.

Thanks!
